New Web Services Support SCIMS Survey Mark Information
Tuesday 11, Feb 2020
From January 2020, the Survey Control Information Management System (SCIMS) is supported by a new series of web services.
These web services will provide GDA94 coordinates (with Class and Order) or GDA2020 coordinates (along with new Positional and Local Uncertainty values, where available) for SCIMS Survey Marks in NSW.
This change supports amendments to legislation which require MGA2020 on land survey plans from 01 January 2020. These services are be available in either ArcGIS REST Mapserver or ArcGIS REST Featureserver formats.
While these web services enable quick and easy access to SCIMS coordinates, SCIMS online should still be used for any coordinate or height for a Permanent Survey Mark to be quoted on a plan as it carries with it a transaction number that is legally traceable for audit processes.
To access these web services please find the relevant information here. If you require more information, please do not hesitate to contact us on 1300 211 253 or SCIMS@customerservice.nsw.gov.au.
